Victoria Lynn Blount, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024, in Loma Linda, California. Born on January 8, 1969, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Paul Blount, Shirley Blount then in her teen years, her stepmother Cleta Lee. Victoria's life was a testament to the power of caring and connection.A mother of three and a grandmother of two, Victoria's familial bonds were profound and far-reaching. She extended her nurturing spirit beyond her own kin, serving as a caregiver to many adults with intellectual disabilities. Her role as a mother and grandmother,and aunt, and friend left a legacy of warmth and kindness that will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.Victoria's fluency in American Sign Language was just one of the many skills that allowed her to communicate love and support to those around her. Her career as a caregiver was more than a job; it was a calling that she fulfilled with dedication and compassion, touching the lives of numerous disabled individuals and their families.Her interests were a reflection of her vibrant spirit. Victoria found joy in her pets, the late Babygirl and Dozer, and felt uplifted by attending Christian concerts and participating in church groups. Vacations with family or friends were treasured moments, as were the holidays spent with her daughter and her family. Known for her contagious spirit, Victoria had the rare ability to make everyone around her feel loved and welcomed.A woman of many passions, Victoria relished the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed shopping, driving around, and exploring the world with a sense of wonder. In the kitchen, her talent shone brightly; she was renowned for her potato salad and delighted in cooking and baking for those she loved. Her culinary skills were also shared with the community, as she spent years preparing meals for a homeless shelter through her late church.Victoria's love for people was boundless. It was said that even a first encounter with her was enough to secure a place in her heart. This love was mirrored in the way she lived her life—generously and with a spirit that drew others in. She found fulfillment in being involved in anything that brought her and those around her joy.As we remember Victoria Lynn Blount, we are reminded of the words that best describe her: loving, spirited, and generous, strong. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the impact of her love and generosity will continue to resonate with all who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life.
Victoria leaves behind family and friends from far and near that adore her and a community that respects her. She survived by her three children: Katty(John), Elissa, Thomas. Her two grandchildren: David, Faith. Her siblings and their families: Debbie(Mel), Ana(John), Connie, Dan. She entered heaven to be with her mother Shirley Brown and stepmother Cleta Lee and her father Paul Blount and other siblings and a niece.countless friends will also mourn the loss of a woman whose spirit was as contagious as it was endearing. Towards the end of her life, Victoria became ill and gave the strongest fight of her life. In celebrating Victoria's life, we honor a woman whose very essence was to care for others, to spread joy, and to live with an open heart. Her memory will be cherished, and her legacy of love and service will endure. Victoria Lynn Blount's story is not one of an ending, but a continuous ripple of kindness that will flow through the lives of those she touched forever.
