Tyler Manners, the man of many hats!!!
* Mentor * Teacher * Writer * Musician * Comedian *
Brother * Friend*
Tyler was born in Alaska on June 17, 1960. He lived the
majority of his life in Riverside, CA. He would give wonderful
driving tours of the city and point out all the various houses
his family lived in over the years. His college career was
pursued at Point Loma University in San Diego, CA. After
which he settled back down in Riverside and earned his
teaching credential. Mr. Manners taught high school and a
few local college courses. His specialty was English, as he
was an avid reader and a published writer. He wrote the
book, “Continental Change of Heart”, aimed at the reading
and comprehension level of his students. Tyler was also the
author of several magazine and newspaper articles over the
years, along with a screen play inspired by his view of the
world from the wheel chair. Among his talents, was a
magnificent singing voice, as he was a lifelong church
vocalist. Tyler’s bible study teachings were well enjoyed due
to the fascinating research and perspective he would give.
As a young adult M.S started to creep into Ty’s life, however
he did not let it stop him from living. He traveled to Czech
and spent several years teaching English abroad. His mom
and Aunt made it possible for him to see the world. With the
Lord, love, family and friends anything is possible. Tyler
loved sharing joy through his random jokes and humorous
puns. He found that laughter was the best source of
medicine. His life inspired courage, love, faith,
determination, and staying strong no matter the adversity.
He is forever in our hearts.
