Taşkın Andrews
Biricik Güzel Annemiz
Was born on February 21st, 1958 in Izmir, Turkey to Kamuran and Jale Ayas.
She spent her early years between Izmir and Armutlu making memories with her parents, brother, and many cousins, and family.
She graduated from Izmir Kiz Lisesi in 1976 and later worked at the International World Fair as a sales woman and then went on to travel Europe as a Turkish folklore dancer.
She would later meet the love of her life Grant in 1979. They married 6 months later on December 8th 1979, In Izmir Turkey.
On September 8th 1980, they had their first born Daughter Jale Kaluza in Anaheim, California.
Four years later their daughter Katie Andrews was born on December 15th, 1984, in Adana, Turkey.
In the years following she spent her time as a devoted wife and mother taking care of her family. She was the rock that held the family together during her husband’s 24 years of service in the United States Air Force through countless deployments and moves. She was an incredible wife and mother (Anne). She made the life of a military wife look simple, even with all of its high demands. She made every move the family made go smoothly, and always managed to make every house a home.
In the later years she selflessly took care of her husband and mother. She gave without expecting anything in return and loved everyone around her in her quiet and reserved ways.
She was an amazing cook (even though she had no interest in the art). She loved traveling, watching true crime documentaries and spending time with the love of her life. She enjoyed the beach and spending time with her Daughters Jale and Katie, and Son in law, Sean.
She went home to Heaven on December 15th, 2024, at the young age of 66.
She battled stage 4 cancer like a warrior and did so until her last breath. She has left a massive void in our hearts with her absence but is now healthy and whole in heaven with the love of her life. She is missed and loved beyond words.
She is survived by her Daughters Jale Kaluza and Katie Andrews. Her Son-in-law Sean Kaluza, her grand-babies Zuleyha (Princess), Gavin, Zachary, and Issac. Her mother Jale Ayas and Brother Tahir Ayas.
