Ronald Elphick, a beloved believer in Christ, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2024, in Riverside, CA. Born on August 22, 1954, in Hawthorne, CA, Ron was known for his kindness, compassion, love, and unwavering dedication to his family and for sharing the Gospel any chance he could. Throughout his life, Ron touched the hearts of many with his gentle spirit and in fectious laughter at his own cheesy, dad jokes. Ron had an incredible memory. His re call of historical events, movie trivia, and sports records is unmatched. He also had an uncanny knack for knowledge of the Bible. His family remembers him as the en cyclopedia of “all things.” He worked in a family business, All Star Saw, where he sharpened saws and blades for heavy machinery for over 30 years. His favorite pas times were watching movies, reading, studying God’s word, collecting baseball cards, watching sports, and bragging about all 12 of his grandchildren (a prouder grandpa there never was). Ron cherished his time spent with family and brothers and sisters in Christ. Ron is preceded in death by his son, Joshua Elphick, his brother, Robert Ford, and his mother, Rita Darlene Mitchell. He is survived by his daughter Jeannette (Mitch) Gatewood, son Travis LaCasse, his daughter Alicia (Tyler) Gentis, his son Brandon (Lynette) Elphick, his sister Lynda Ford-Setaro, his brother Joe Wida, his former wife and friend of 30+ years, Wendy Douglas, and his 12 grandchildren: Cierra, Cole, Shiloh, Jordan, Caleb, Lincoln, Reagan, Christian, Remi, Jade, Jackson, and Ruby. May he rest in peace with his glorified body, walking the streets of gold with Jesus. Services for Ron will be held at Devore Community Church located at 1431 Devore Rd. San Bernardino, CA 92407 on March 30th at 11 am
