Ronald Carlton Alsop

Ronald Carlton Alsop, Resident of Beaumont, CA, passed away on January 19, 2022, at the age of 78. He was the son of Carlton L. Alsop and Anne M. Minville, who have both predeceased him.

Orphaned as a young child, Ron soon joined the family of his cousins, Don and Kathryn Eby and their son David Eby, whom he always referred to as "my brother." These family members have also predeceased him. 

Ron was married to Judy Alsop, the love of his life, for nearly 49 years. Judy and his three daughters, Eadie Buy, Juli Hittenberger and Jayna Sammons, along with grandchildren and great grandchildren, are his immediate surviving family members.  

The U.S. Marine Corp and San Diego, CA, where he served from 1960 to 1964, made a great impact on his life, especially his service as assistant to the chaplain on base during his tour of duty.

Being a born salesman who "never met a stranger," most of his professional life involved sales positions, where he won many contests and was usually voted top salesman. He also enjoyed serving as Director of Stewardship and Estate Planning for 17 years at a global Christian television network. 

Next to family, Bible study and aviation were Ron's two extracurricular loves. He earned a three-year Christian Studies Diploma, as well as his private pilot license and his commercial (for hire), and instrumental tickets. Ron lived a full life and will be remembered with a smile.

Funeral services for Ronald Alsop were held Sunday evening, January 23, at St. Andrew Christian Orthodox Church in Riverside, CA. The church was full. Ron loved everyone, and many family members, co-workers, church members and friends came from far and wide to pray and to honor his life.
