Pedro “Pete” Castro Luna, age 74, passed away on March 1, 2025 in Colton, California. In his most recent years Pete enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, socializing with neighbors and going on car rides with his precious dog “Mamas.” Pete enjoyed working on cars; in his later years he mostly enjoyed taking them apart. He worked numerous years in the construction industry in which he was skilled and proud of his work. Pete mentored young men entering the field before he officially retired. Pete is survived by his wife, Emily Stella Pacheco Luna, his adult children Martin Luna, Marcos Luna, Irene Luna and his four step-children. Pete was beyond blessed with seventeen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one dog “Mamas” who meant the world to him and his siblings Alfredo Luna, Gloria Contreras, Julie Luna, Arturo Luna, Leticia Luna and Katrina Gomez. He is preceded in death by his father Trinidad Luna, his mother Maria Luisa Castro, his children Daniel Luna, Pete Luna Jr. and his brother Miguel Luna. A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Pete at the Rubidoux Mortuary, 6091 Mission Inn Blvd. Riverside, CA 92509 on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 11am.
