Melvin Warner Cyr, age 83, passed away peacefully on March 23rd, 2018. Melvin was born in Van Buren, Maine on August 12, 1934 to Rene and Annette Cyr. He joined the US Army June 1957 and was stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington. Melvin enjoyed fishing anytime, anywhere. He made his own fishing poles. He had the biggest heart. If anyone needed a helping hand he was there for them. Melvin loved football. Raiders were his favorite team. He got married to Vivian Phillips in 1957. They had one daughter. Melvin is survived by his daughter Lisa, son in law John, grandkids, Joey, Krystal and John Jr., great grandkids, Robert, Robyn Joe, Karina, Isaac, Marcos, Logan, Jerry, John & Jacob, best friend and fishing partner, Richard Storms. Services will be April 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Rubidoux Mortuary, graveside services will follow at 1:45 PM at Riverside National Cemetery.
