James D. Rowe, a cherished family man, and esteemed member of his community, passed away peacefully of natural causes on May 25, 2024, in Riverside, California. Born on July 31, 1931, in Manhattan, Kansas, James's journey through life was marked by dedication, love, and an unwavering spirit of generosity.
After serving with distinction as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, James turned his leadership skills and robust work ethic towards a successful career in real estate. He became a respected Real Estate Broker and the proud owner of Glen Avon Realty, where he was known for his integrity and commitment to his clients.
James's life was a testament to his loving, selfless, and generous nature. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 70 years, Deanna Rowe, 87, who stood by his side as a partner and confidante through every chapter of their life together. He was a guiding light to his sons, James Rowe Jr., 65, and Jeffrey Rowe, 58, imparting wisdom and kindness that will live on as his legacy. Though he was predeceased by his daughter Cynthia Parsell and Penny Cox, their memories remained a cherished part of his life story.
The proud patriarch of a large and vibrant family, James reveled in the joy of his 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Each family gathering was enriched by his presence, his stories, and his laughter. James's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life, and his guidance and affection will be deeply missed.
An avid motorcyclist, James found freedom and solace on the open road, riding his beloved Harley. His adventurous spirit also led him to explore the world, as he and Deanna embarked on numerous cruises, creating a tapestry of memories from the many ports and cultures they experienced together.
James's legacy is not only etched in the hearts of his family but also in the countless lives he touched through his professional and personal endeavors. His ability to connect with people, to genuinely care for their well-being, made him a pillar in his community.
As we bid farewell to James D. Rowe, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and passion. His was a journey filled with meaningful connections, selfless acts, and a boundless capacity to give. He leaves behind a world that is undeniably better for his presence, and a family that will carry forward his spirit of love and generosity.
We take comfort in knowing that James's story does not end here. It continues in the laughter of his great-grandchildren, in the resilience of his sons, in the love he shared with Deanna, and in the friendships he cultivated over his 92 years. Though he may have set off on his final cruise, the wake of his voyage will be felt for generations to come.
His memory will be forever cherished, and his lessons of love and kindness will continue to guide us. James's life was a beacon of what it means to live fully and give freely, and for that, we are eternally grateful. Rest in peace, dear James.
