Jacqueline J. Green-Williams
On January 6, 1959, in Yoakum, TX, Jacqueline Joyce (Jackie) was the first of six children born to James and Joyce Green.
The family moved to Riverside, CA, in the 1960s, where Jackie attended primary through high school. Growing up, she was active in sports, music, and local beauty pageants. As a teenager, she loved to swim and became a certified lifeguard at Memorial Park. A member of New Century Baptist Church (formerly Greater 20th Century MBC), she accepted Christ at an early age, where she sang in the choir and served on the usher board.
Jackie graduated from Rubidoux High school and worked for Riverside County Health Department in Disease Control for over 30 years. In 1988 she married Vincent J. Williams, gained another stepson, Vincent (Jay) Williams, and loved him as her own, as they joined her and her four sons.
She loved the simple things in life, good food, a trip to the casino on her birthday, and Charlie Wilson in concert. But her greatest joy was family get-togethers and spending time with her grandchildren. Unfortunately, her health began to decline, forcing her into early retirement; Jackie remained strong and resilient through it all.
The breath of life given to her was returned to the Almighty God on Friday, June 12, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Joyce Green, and her son Maurice Bryant. Leaving behind to cherish her memory are her husband Vincent Williams, Riverside, CA; her sons Michael Bryant, Jr., Seattle, WA, Andre Bryant, Timothy Bryant, stepson Jay Williams, all of Riverside, CA, and stepson William Bryant of Los Angeles, CA; 17 grandchildren; siblings James Green, Jr. (Brenda), Michelle Franklin (David, Sr.), Frederick Green, LaShawn Green all of Riverside, CA, and Vonetta Mixson (John, Jr.) of Tehachapi, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
