Helen Tucker

Helen Elizabeth (Lewis) Tucker, 92 years old, of Jurupa Valley, CA, and recently Midlothian TX, passed away peacefully at home on March 30, 2026, with her daughters, Lora Trapp and Sharon Boyer holding her hands.

Helen was born on November 19, 1933 to Edgar Lewis and Ida (Wright) Lewis, in Marceline, MO.  She was married to Ralph E. Tucker on January 31, 1953 in Kansas City MO.

Helen Tucker was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother.  She was an excellent seamstress, sewing clothing, and tailoring jackets and suits for her family.  Later in life she created many beautiful quilts, several that were auctioned as donations to her church in Sardis, TX.  She was a giving person, and volunteered in her church, and was a Pink Lady volunteer for Baylor Hospital in Waxahachie, TX, working in their gift shop and in their thrift shop.  One of her favorite activities was being a member of the YMCA Hi Steppers, a senior ladies line dance group that performed for many venues, including nursing homes, care centers and YMCA events.

Helen is survived by three children, Lora Trapp, Ralph E. (Tami) Tucker, Jr, and Sharon (Chuck) Boyer; twelve grandchildren, Tim (Desi) Trapp, Donnie (Jill) Trapp, Kimberly (Jim) Schnepp, Gerry Darading, Michael (Kathleen) Tucker, Ricki Roux, Samantha (JW) Schneider, Kevin (Rachel) Tucker, Eric (Hanna) Tucker, Nicole (Brian) Leachman, Jessica (RJ) Hutson, and Jacob Boyer; 23 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Tucker, a son, Thomas Tucker, her parents Edgar Lewis and Ida Lewis, and her siblings Ivan Lewis, Orville Lewis, Troy Lewis, Joe Lewis, Charles Lewis, Oscar Lewis, Althea Morrow, and Dorothea Sternke.

Cremation arrangements were provided by Rubidoux Mortuary.  A Celebration of Life will be held for Helen Tucker at Delaney Funeral Home, 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO  64658, at 1:00 pm on May 23, 2026, with internment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, next to her husband, in Marceline, MO.
