Helen Ruth Thomas

Helen Ruth Thomas was born in Hope Arkansas to Gertrude Thomas on 05/24/1946 and departed this life on 12/07/2022 in Redlands CA at the age of 76. She was the third child of seven siblings. She attended schools in Arkansas and California. She also attended college in Southern California. Helen attended churches in both Arkansas and California. She was truly blessed.

Helen worked for several employers in Southern California. She worked at El Toro Marine Corp Base as a clerk, at United Parcel Service (UPS) in their Bookkeeping Department, at McDonald and Boeing as a senior parts expediter, and as a data input technician for the Los Angeles County Courts.

Helen loved to eat and was a good cook. She would spend hours tweaking her recipes and then she would share them with both family and friends. She loved going to the race track and would place a bet on the horses.

Helen enjoyed going to the casinos. She also enjoyed playing all of the Lottery games and scratchers. She liked watching comedies and love stories on DVD's and Television. She often talked with family and friends. She was able to turn that frown around with her quick wit. And her laugh was contagious. She was a loyal sister and friend to the end. She will be missed by all.

Helen was married once and she said that was enough. She did not have any children. But you can ask any of her family members and friends and they will tell you just how much she loved them by the support she gave to all. When you needed someone to listen and then give advice she was always available. Our family and her friends will truly miss her.

Helen's mother Gertrude Thomas, sisters Peggy Payne, Elsie Perry Williams, nephew Bryan Williams LeDoux and great niece Kimberly Smith all proceeded her in death. Helen is survived by her four sisters Ruth Harris, Odessa Thomas, Linda Thomas and Verdie Irene Wilson and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Just know that Helen has done her best and has earned her rest and has passed through the Pearly Gates where God awaits, and if you should pass through them too, she will be there waiting to see you,

As this day has come, it is time to say "See you later and not Good-bye" because we will see Helen again.

She will live in our hearts forever.
