Grant Robert Andrews was born in Culver City, Ca. On February 12, 1955 to Robert and Suzanne Andrews. 

 

He grew up in Anaheim, Ca. With his 4 siblings and attended Magnolia High School.

After spending time working with his father in the meat packing business he joined the United States Air Force in 1976. 

 

In 1979 he married the love of his life, his best friend, and soulmate Taskin in Izmir, Turkey.

They had their first born daughter Jale in 1980 in Anaheim, California. Their second daughter Katie would follow four years later at Incirlik Air Force Base, in Incirlik, Turkey. 

 

They traveled around the globe as he served our country selflessly including in Turkey during the Gulf War as a United States Air Force Security Police Officer. 

His Air Force career spanned 23 years and was one to be proud of. He earned many merits and awards for his service and retired in 1999. During and after his service with the United States Air Force he obtained his bachelors degree in public administration and criminal justice at Cal State Long Beach and Wayland Baptist University.

 

During the early years into his retirement he worked for two contracted security companies Blackwater and Parsons. He would travel with both companies to Iraq and Jordan on security detail with the United States Army.

He returned home permanently in 2006. 

 

He spent his retirement days with his wife, daughters, Son-in-law and his 2 grandsons who he adored. He enjoyed political debates, writing, playing on his IPad, spending time with his dogs scooter and peanut, and listening to music. 

 

He was a proud American and loved his country immensely. His faith was unshakable and he loved the Lord completely.

 

He went home to Jesus on February 10th, 2024 

2 days shy of his 69th birthday.

 

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and soldier. He will be missed beyond words. 

 

He is survived by his Wife, Taskin Andrews, his Daughters Jale Kaluza and Katie Andrews, his Son-in-law Sean Kaluza, his grandsons Gavin and Zachary Kaluza, his mother Suzanne Andrews, and his four siblings Pamela Bunch, Patricia Gagnier, Greg Andrews, and Jerry Andrews.
