Carol Anne Ames, known affectionately to friends and family as Carol, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, in Riverside, California. Born on April 1, 1943, in Troy, New York.
Carol's educational journey led her to the College of Saint Rose, where she earned her degree and laid the foundation for a career dedicated to helping others.
For many years, Carol served the students of Chaffey Community College in the financial aid department, where her guidance and support helped countless individuals achieve their academic goals.
In her personal life, Carol found joy in the simple pleasures. She cherished the time spent with her beloved cats and indulged in her passion for collecting dolls, a hobby that brought her much happiness and a sense of wonder. Her home was a haven of warmth and love, filled with memories and treasures that reflected her interests and the depth of her heart.
Carol's legacy is carried on through her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Rundle, her brother, Fred Ames, and her sister, Connie Ames Dormady. Her memory will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Alexander Ames of Seldon, New York. Carol was a proud mother to her three sons, Albert E. Passineau of Troy, New York, Stephen Passineau of Cornwall, New York, and Eric Romanelli of Apple Valley, California. Her role as a grandmother was one she embraced with joy and pride, leaving behind cherished moments with her grandchildren Nicole, Adrienne, Alisha, Jessica, Amanda, Stephen, Melanie, and Nathan, as well as her adored great-grandchildren.
Carol's journey through life was one marked by love, laughter, and the enduring strength of family ties. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A service will be held on July 28th at 11am @ the Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Boulevard., Riverside CA 92518
