Alverta Bland was born to the parents of Roscoe and Alverta Tosa Bell on May 10, 1934 in Topeka, Kansas. She attended school in Kansas and California. She loved the Lord and she was very much loved by everyone she met.
She married Sylvester Bland Sr who preceded her in death on January 23, 2010. Also preceding her in death were both her parents, five brothers: Kenneth, Roscoe Jr., Harold, John and Everett; sisters: Darlene Spinks, Edith Webb and Lucy Shelton.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Her 6 Children Sylvester Jr. (Vivian), Denise (Tommie), Marcus (Bernice), Annette (Kleith), Maria (Tony) and Tyrone (Sandra) and our Extended Brother Travell Spears. Also 20 Grandchildren, a Host of Great Grands and 1 Great - Great Grandchild, her Brother Emmett &(Frances) Bell and Sister Margaret Tyler along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Rest in peace Peaches.
Her favorite Pastime was hanging with The Early Birds Camp Group. Chickee and Norman Nelson she holds dear to her heart and so many other Camping Buddies.
The family thanks you for the many acts of loving kindness shown to us during our bereavement. Your thoughtfulness is deeply appreciated and will always be remembered.***Special thanks to the amazing Staff at Leisure Pointe in San Bernardino: Kenya, Tangy and her caregivers, Miss Dee her companion and her medical staff, we really appreciate you and the sensitive care you have shown our Mom.
